The buyer lodges Part A<\/a> with TMR, and you keep Part B as your record. Get this wrong or leave it unsigned, and the transfer simply won't process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A current Queensland driver's licence covers most situations. It's not legally required from the seller, but handing a buyer a clean PPSR result speeds things up and builds confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A simple written record protects both parties, stating date, price, odometer reading, VIN, and both signatures. Keep a copy for your own records even after the transfer's lodged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n None of these is required by law, but they all make a difference to what a buyer is willing to offer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Handing over the keys isn't the end of it.
